Finance Manager - Northeast

 Reporting to the Director of Finance, Operations, Finance Managers at Greenstar research, analyze, prepare and summarize data for financial plans, acquisition activity, trended future requirements and operating forecasts and perform in-depth, complex technical analyses to determine present and future financial performance. 

This position is located in our Allentown, Pennsylvania facility.

 Specific Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide financial guidance and assistance to operational managers in the business units
  • Prepare business plans, including annual operating budgets, periodic forecasts and strategic plans
  • Provide timely explanations of variances between actual results and forecasts/budgets
  • Prepare appropriate price-volume analyses to identify market trends and profitability impacts of marketplace factors
  • Assist in the preparations of and explanation of the P&L to management
  • Perform a financial review of all capital expenditure requests
  • Develop and periodically generate financial reports
  • Oversee month-end inventory counts and take full responsibility for inventory valuations using the Absorption Costing method                                                                                            

Qualifications of the Position Include:

  • Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration or an equivalent combination of education and experience
    • ·5 years financial experience, ideally in a operational finance business environment; prior experience in public accounting is preferred but not essential
    • Expert understanding of accounting theory and practice
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (written, oral and presentation) with a proven ability to successfully engage with all levels including the Executive Team
    • Advanced computer skills; expert-level knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and the Microsoft Office components Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    • Highly organized, with a stringent attention to detail and an expectation of the highest ethical standards
    • An aggressive, creative self-starter, with a strong, professional, proactive, collaborative approach to the business
    • Leadership skills capable of generating a high degree of respect and trust rapidly
    • A proven ability to develop strong client relationships, both internally and externally
    • Some travel is required
